Job Title: Solar Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Solar Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering solar power projects from start to finish. This includes overseeing site surveys, engineering, procurement, construction, budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Execution

Manage end-to-end execution of rooftop and ground-mounted solar power projects.

Develop project schedules, resource plans, and timelines.

Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and execution teams.

2. Site Management

Conduct and review site assessments and feasibility studies.

Ensure proper mobilization of materials, manpower, and machinery.

Monitor on-site progress and resolve any technical or logistic issues.

3. Team & Vendor Coordination

Lead and manage internal project teams and subcontractors.

Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery of materials and services.

Ensure adherence to contract terms and technical specifications.

4. Quality, Safety & Compliance

Implement quality assurance and control procedures on-site.

Enforce site safety protocols and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.

Maintain documentation related to inspections, audits, and compliance.

5. Budget & Cost Control

Monitor project costs and ensure completion within approved budget.

Identify and mitigate risks related to cost overruns and delays.

Prepare project progress reports and financial summaries for management.

6. Client Communication & Reporting

Act as the primary point of contact for the client during project execution.

Provide regular updates on progress, timelines, and issues.

Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting or exceeding project expectations.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering or related field.

Minimum 4–8 years of experience in solar project management.

Proven experience in handling both rooftop and ground-mount projects.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong project planning, coordination, and leadership skills.

In-depth knowledge of solar PV systems, components, and construction.

Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.).

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
