Roles and Responsibilities
• Maintaining accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, payments, account statuses, and information related to supplies and inventory.
• Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts.
• Creating, maintaining & reconciling periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc. Presenting data to managers, investors, and other entities.
• Performing audits and resolving discrepancies. Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
• Speaking with vendors and suppliers to ensure charges are accurate and that payments are received in a timely manner.
• Communicating with clients to discuss account statuses, charges, or discrepancies.
• Developing, implementing, improving, and enforcing budgets, policies, and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Recording, reviewing, and interpreting data to determine the effectiveness of operations.
• Bringing company strengths and weaknesses to the attention of management and providing advice as they develop responses or fixes for these issues.
• Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditures.
