Job Purpose:
The Procurement Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for power projects. The role involves vendor management, cost optimization, and ensuring timely delivery of quality materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Sourcing:
Identify and source suppliers for project materials and services.
Obtain and evaluate quotations, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Ensure procurement aligns with project specifications and budget.
Vendor Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms.
Monitor vendor performance and resolve any supply issues.
Purchase Order & Documentation:
Prepare and process purchase orders in compliance with company policies.
Maintain accurate procurement records, agreements, and reports.
Ensure timely approvals and documentation for procurement activities.
Inventory & Logistics Coordination:
Coordinate with the store and logistics team for material deliveries.
Track shipments and ensure timely supply to project sites.
Manage stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
Compliance & Cost Optimization:
Ensure adherence to procurement policies and legal regulations.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Stay updated on market trends and pricing fluctuations.
Reporting & Coordination:
Provide regular updates on procurement activities and cost analysis.
Collaborate with project, finance, and store teams for smooth operations.
Assist in vendor audits and evaluation processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the power or engineering sector.
Knowledge of procurement best practices and vendor management.
Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, Word).
Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Work Environment:
Office-based role with site visits as required.
Requires handling procurement negotiations and supplier coordination.
